One chapter of the forest
The Anvil network is one option within a larger forest visit. Choose a loop from the current map, or investigate connections toward Nicolet North and the other lake areas. A connected trail network does not mean every destination makes a short walk.
Match terrain, distance and return route to your group. The Anvil visitor guide links to a trail map and describes different difficulty choices.
Check current trail use, parking arrangements and conditions. Hiking, biking and groomed skiing have different needs.
Combine the trail with a lake stop, a campground stay or a meal in Eagle River or Three Lakes. Allow for transfers between them.
